Red Lake
Located in the west of the department to 4278 meters, with an area of 60 square kilometers, the lake is characterized by the reddish color of its waters, which is a result of micro organisms that live in this type of salt water. This lagoon was declared a Ramsar site in Bolivia, the name given to relief duty for the conservation of waterbirds, as it constitutes a unique environment in the world where three species of flamingos nest.
