Licancabur Volcano

This extinct volcano is located on the west side of Laguna Verde, with a height of 5868 meters. And it is the border between the Republic of Chile and Bolivia. To climb to the summit of this mountain requires approximately five hours both upstream and downstream, the steep rocky slope which owns and strong winds that originate in the Pacific Ocean and the blue glimpse of the immensity of ocean meets the sky, of course when you have a clear sky.

Also you can have a panoramic view of the numerous gaps within and outside the park and deep valleys that are within Chilean territory. In all this mountain trails or shelters do not exist, at some times can see areas with snow.

The recommended temperature is seen during the months of June, July and August where the ground is dry and can be done from the early hours climbing out of the small refuge ranger.
